ブティックjuneは
香川県の伝統工芸品「保多織」を使って
お洋服や雑貨をつくっています。

50〜60年代の映画にでてくる洋服が好きで
デザインもそれに近いものが多いです。

保多織との出会い
昔から肌が弱くて
天然素材のものしか着れなかったので
自分のためにつくりたいと
思ったことがきっかけで
洋服づくりをはじめました。
I have always had sensitive skin and could only wear things made from natural materials. It all started when I wanted to create something for myself. I started making clothes.
はじめはコットンやリネンなどで
つくっていたのですが
保多織と出会い、着心地のよさに
感動してから
自分が毎日着る服、つくる服のほとんどが
保多織のものになりました。

保多織について
江戸時代から伝わる伝統工芸品で、
幕府への献上品として使われていました。
A traditional craft that has been passed down since the Edo period.
At that time, it was used as a gift to the shogunate.
縦糸と横糸を１本ずつ交差する平織りに対し、
保多織は３回平織りで打ち込んで、
４本目を浮かせる織り方です。
糸を浮かせることですき間に空気を含むため、
夏はさらっとした肌ざわりで、
冬は逆に肌に触れたときの冷たさを
あまり感じないという特徴があります。
